What excactly is Vct tile floor?
Have you ever wondered what is VCT Flooring? VCT stands for vinyl composite tile. This is made from a composite material that is aimed at creating a tile that is made of a minimized amount of vinyl in combination with limestone and other materials. The goal is to go with a more cost-effective material that still looks the part. Whether you are new construction or remodeling, your VCT flooring should be sealed within a few days after installation. Sealing will protect your new tile from scratching, from fading if exposed to direct sunlight, and give it that beautiful gloss look. Though it may look easy to the human eye it really is craftsmanship of its own right. You really have to know what your doing when dealing with Vct tile especially in the stripping and waxing session or else you can really end up with some really sticky results, literally where you might find yourself having to pay double or even triple to a Professional Floor Care Specialist for having to fix your floors. A deep scrub and refinish is when one scrubbs deep enough to remove one to two layers of old acrylic finish scrubbing it just enough to clean all old built up dirt, soil and grime from who knows when, prepping it for new long lasting commercial grade acrylic wax. This process of Refinishing Vct tile can be done three to four times before even having to perform a full Vct tile stripping and waxing session.

A full stripp and wax on vct tile is an indepth aggressive scrubbing with either a stripping brush or stripping pads that are strong and aggressive enough to remove all the old built wax from years upon years that need to be full taken off before moving onto the next step. The vct tile is stripped of all old finish exposing the tile to the pores, then it is nuetralized and ready for the application of the wax. The sealing part of Vct tile is in my opinion the most important step of all because it is the final touch, the last piece of finesse, the reason clients call you is for you to give their floor it's beautiful gloss and clarity. I always relate laying the floor finish to an artist painting his final strokes with the upmost patience and love to reveal a beautiful masterpiece when done.
